Circulatory System

Circulatory System

The circulatory system in the body explains the complete circle of blood and about the way in which blood vessels work together with the heart and lungs. The circulatory system of the body has 3 parts namely coronary circulation, pulmonary circulation and systemic circulation. The lungs are concerned with pulmonary system, the heart is with respect to coronary system and finally the other parts of the body forms systemic circulation.

The blood moves from the heart and travels into the lungs and comeback to the heart. The arteries carry pure blood from the heart and the veins bring back impure blood from other parts of the body to the heart for making it pure.

Exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide gases takes place in the lungs and the fresh blood re-enters the pulmonary veins that forces the blood into the heart. There are two auricles and ventricles in the heart and all of them function together for circulating blood into the heart and to other body parts.

The movement of blood into the tissues of the heart is called coronary circulation since the heart is the organ which overworks each second by providing nourishment and oxygen to all parts of the body. Systemic circulation is the system that supplies oxygen to all the tissues of the body except lungs and heart. For this reason, the systemic circulation is the largest of all the three circulatory systems. It also includes renal circulation in which the blood is pushed into the kidneys which filter all the waste particles from the blood making it pure.
