- Myeloproliferative diseases, such as chronic myelogenous Leukemia, Polycythemia Vera and Myelofibrosis
- Inflammatory processes, such as inflammatory bowel disease, chronic dermatitis, Asthma and chronic Sinusitis
- Hodgkin’s Lymphoma
- Hemolytic Anemia
- Following splenectomy
- Endocrine causes, such as hypoThyroidism and increased estrogen.
