Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Horizontally cut the loaf in half. Combine garlic, butter, and parsley. Spread butter over the halves of bread and put on a baking pan. Heat for 10 minutes.
Take the pan from the oven and sprinkle cheese, if you want some. Broil for 2 or 3 minutes until the bread edges are toasted. Remove from oven.
